Michael Hall, 34, was convicted of the following charges:
- Conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of a substance containing methamphetamine
- Distribution of 50 grams or more of a substance containing methamphetamine
- Possession with intent to distribute a quantity of heroin
- Possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking
Court documents showed that the Duplin County Sheriff's Office made buys of methamphetamine from Hall at his home.
Officials said Hall was on probation and wearing an ankle monitor from a prior state felony conviction.
Officials later received information that Hall was selling drugs from a hotel room in Onslow County. After a search, they found heroin, digital scales and a stolen handgun.
An investigation showed that Hall was involved in the distribution of more than five kilograms of methamphetamine from July of 2018 until his arrest in July of 2019.
