Sand Creek Resident Shines at Recent Horse Show

Sand Creek, MI – Eleanor Ott, of Sand Creek, earned the 13-&-Under, All-Around Champion Title as well as the National Snaffle Bit Association All Aged Youth Champion Title at the 2022 Nutrena AQHA East Level 1 Championships in Wilmington, Ohio.

Ott showed the American Quarter Horse Hez Rainey Made owned by Londa Pickles of Sand Creek. The 2016 Chestnut Gelding by Machine Made and out of Rhapsody in the Rain was bred by Richard and Betty Jo Carr of Bremen, Indiana.

She also earned the Nutrena Level 1 Champion title in Showmanship, Nutrena Level 1 bronze champion titles in Western Pleasure and Horsemanship, Fifth place in the English Equitation and was a finalist in the Performance Halter.

Ott received a prize package that included an all-around champion trophy and belt buckle for the All-Around Champion and a Trophy as well for the National Snaffle Bit Association All Aged Youth Champion Title. She also received 2 bronze trophies and multiple ribbons.

She trains out of Showplace Farms in Adrian. Her trainers are Beckey Schooler, Kyle Doughtery and Austin Lester.

Ott has been invited to the Nutrena Level 1 Champion of Champions competition that will be held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in July.

The 2022 Nutrena AQHA East Level 1 Championships was April 27 – May 1 at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio.
