The beloved host and former champion Ken Jennings announced he’s exiting “Jeopardy!” alongside 23-game winner Mattea Roach. Well at least for now but fans aren’t happy on social media.

“Congratulations to Mattea Roach on a truly iconic @Jeopardy streak,” Jennings wrote. “I believe she’s one of only three champs in history ever to “shoot their age”: 23 years old, 23 wins.”

Alongside his tweet congratulating Roach, the beloved host also tweeted about passing over hosting duties to actress Mayim Bialik, singing her praises.

“I’m handing the keys back to the talented actor-producer-writer-director (!) @missmayim for a few months,” he added. “We are lucky to have her! Thanks for watching, and I’ll be back before the end of the season.”

While Jennings and Bialik have split hosting duties throughout season 38, many fans have favored Jennings’ style of hosting. While Bialik would love to be the permanent host of the quiz show, she has come under fire for making changes to the game.

During his hiatus, Jennings will behind the camera. With no specific return date, he’ll be back before the end of the season. The season will reportedly end on July 29.
