Dave Bautista Seemingly Confirms Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as Drax's Final Appearance

There's a lot of anticipation for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 not just because it will be the titular team's next solo adventure, but it will also mark the final film in the series featuring this team's iteration. Now, one of the main cast members has seemingly confirmed that it will be their last appearance in the MCU.

Dave Bautista, who plays Drax, took to Instagram to celebrate the end of filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in which he said in his caption that he is still processing the "end of a journey that changed my life." Most notably, he used the hashtag "#GoodbyeDrax" which prompted fans to speculate that he might have confirmed in the post that Vol. 3 will be his final appearance as Drax.

So is this the confirmation that Bautista is indeed going to make his last hurrah as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? We still don't know yet exactly, but we do know that the actor has been hinting several times that the film will be the final turn as Drax in the MCU although there hasn't been actual confirmation about it yet. Of course, we have to wait and see until the film and find out if it will be Drax's swan song in the franchise.

Whether it is his final film or not, we have to acknowledge that Bautista had a wonderful turn in the MCU as Drax and made him a very memorable character that eventually became beloved by fans. While it will be sad to see him possibly say goodbye in the next film, hopefully, they planned a satisfying farewell for the character if ever that is the actual case.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klemetieff, Sean Gunn, and Sylvester Stallone are returning in the film. They are joined by franchise newcomers Will Poulter (as Adam Warlock) and Chukwudi Iwuji.
