Hall County murder suspect to trial court for threatening gang revenge

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A judge Monday found probable cause to send a Grand Island man to trial for threatening to have his gang kill a Hall County corrections officer.

Donald Anthony, 34, is charged with felony terrorist threats. On Monday, a Hall County judge transferred his case to trial court.

Court records indicate a deputy with the sheriff’s office was called over to the the jail March 29 in reference to threats made to a corrections officer.

An affidavit states Donald Anthony threatened to have fellow gang members (Latin Kings) kill the officer and his family.

Anthony later claimed that he didn’t know what he said because he “blacked out” because he was in pain.

Anthony is also charged with First Degree Murder and two weapons charges for the February 15 stabbing death of Said Farah.

Both cases against Anthony are pending in Hall County District Court.
