In loving memory of EugEnE (gEnE) Austin WAtts

Eugene (Gene) Austin Watts of Toronto died on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his home at the age of 66. He was born on September 14, 1955, in Eureka, Kan. the son of Bert and Doris (Maley) Watts-Winn. He was raised in the Quincy, Kan. area. He was married to Virginia Darlene Ivy. To this union, two children were born. The marriage later ended in divorce. He married Bonita Henley on December 15, 1985. To this union, a son was born and a step-son was added to his family.

He worked in oil fields and built fences around the Greenwood and Woodson County area throughout his life. He was an avid hunter, trapper and fisherman. He enjoyed spending most of his time outside.

He leaves behind his wife, Bonny of the home; three sons, Waco and wife, Trish Watts of Toronto, Kan.; Dale Williams of Garnett, Kan.; and Andy Watts of Toronto, Kan.; one daughter, Sabrina and wife Lisa Watts of McKenzie, Tenn.; three sisters, two of Pittsburg, Kan.; and Amanda and husband Raymond Watts of Hamilton, Kan. He has four granddaughters and 1 great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Thomas Whitaker; a sister Twyla (Watts) Damron and a brother-in-law Ronnie Damron; a grandson, a nephew, and a great niece.

Cremation has been effected and a private inurnment will be held at a later date.
