A Cheboygan man was injured in a car crash yesterday around 3 p.m. in Grant township, the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office says.
The man was driving on South River Rd when the car and trailer went off the road. The car went into the ditch, travelled a short distance and then hit an embankment for a driveway. The sheriff’s office says the car went airborne for a short distance before landing and hitting another driveway embankment and going airborne a second time. The car landed on a gravel parking lot and rolled several times.
According to the sheriff’s office, the driver was thrown from the car during the first rollover and landed a short distance away. He was later transported to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
The Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the crash.
