Balko fire chief thanks everyone for prayers: 'Jason was a good guy, he will be missed'

BALKO, OKLAHOMA (KVII) —
Balko Fire Chief Robert Marshall thanked everyone for their prayers after the death of firefighter Jason Smith.

Smith died Sunday, 33 days after he and Tyler Morris were burned when their truck rolled over in a ditch while helping fight a wildfire in Beaver County.
"Jason was a good guy. He will be missed," said Marshall. "I seen him do a lot of things for our community that makes me very proud."
