Borussia Dortmund are said to be eyeing a move for Sebastien Haller as they look to replace the outgoing Erling Haaland.

Borussia Dortmund are preparing for the imminent departure of Erling Haaland, with the striker set to complete his move to Manchester City in the coming days. The Black and Yellows will sign a new striker to replace Haaland, and they have a number of players on their list of targets.

According to WAZ, Borussia Dortmund’s list not only includes a number of talented youngsters with high potential, but also the more experienced Sebastien Haller.

The Ajax striker was linked with a move to Dortmund in 2019 as well (when he was at Eintracht Frankfurt). But he was considered to be too expensive then and ended up joining West Ham United. WAZ claim that Sebastian Kehl and co. consider Haller to be an affordable option this time around.

Haller is enjoying an excellent season with Ajax, and has scored 33 goals in 41 appearances for the Dutch giants. Eleven of those goals have come in just eight UEFA Champions League appearances, including two against Borussia Dortmund.

In addition to Haller, Borussia Dortmund also have Adam Hložek, Hugo Ekitike and Benjamin Šeško on their list of potential targets to replace Haaland. It will be interesting to see which player the BVB bosses will look to sign in the end.

Borussia Dortmund are also set to complete the signing of RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi for a club record transfer fee. But he will not be the direct replacement for Haaland.
