Spencer, IA (KICD)– Spencer Hospital was back in studio with us over the weekend for the Clay County Health Update to talk about an option for those that have a wound that just does not want to heal on its own.

Jordan Achterhoff is the Director of the Wound Healing. She says treatments in her department can help those with chronic wounds like leg ulcers, lacerations and diabetic foot wounds through a number of treatments including hyperbaric medicine.

Achterhoff says oxygen chambers come in two “grades” that have varying uses depending on where they are being operated.
