Bryant (back) said Sunday that he'll receive a cortisone shot, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Bryant will be shut down for a few days after receiving his cortisone shot, but he hopes the decision will speed up his recovery process. Once the 30-year-old is healthy, he expects to require a brief rehab assignment to work on his timing.
