FLOOD ADVISORY until 6PM Sunday for Lincoln County. Emergency management reported minor flooding in the advisory area due to snowmelt and rain. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused minor flooding. The Yaak River will continue to rise and reach minor flood stage this evening (Saturday).
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Beaverhead, Madison, and Gallatin Counties from midnight tonight to 9 AM Monday. Mountain passes could see 1 to 4 inches of snow. Higher elevations could see 4 to 10 inches.
We are tracking a cold front that will move through tonight, lowering snow levels to 3000 feet by Sunday morning. Mountain passes along the Montana/Idaho border could see slick roads from a light accumulation of snow.
A break from the rain/snow is expected Sunday for areas west of the divide. A wintry mix of rain and snow will fall across southwest Montana through Monday morning. Snow will likely impact portions of I-90 from Butte to Bozeman Pass and portions of I-15 from Butte to Monida Pass, along with many other state highways in Beaverhead, Madison and Gallatin counties. Remind your mom to bring her plants in because Monday morning lows will be in the 20s.
