Who the Queen HAS made an exception for after ruling Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Andrew won’t be on the balcony

THE QUEEN has made an exception to the rule after banning Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and her son Andrew from appearing by her side on the Buckingham Palace balcony to celebrate her Jubilee.

The 96-year-old monarch said the line up would be limited to working Royals - meaning many members of the Firm won't be on show for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, including the trio.

Announcing the decision on Friday, a Palace spokesperson said: "After careful consideration, the Queen has decided this year's traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday 2nd June will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen."

It means the Queen will be stand alongside Charles and Camilla, as well as William and Kate. Princess Anne, Edward and Sophie and the Duke of Kent will also make an appearance on June 2.

However, Her Majesty HAS made some exceptions to the rule.

Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Louis, 4, will be by the Queen's side with their parents Kate Middleton and Prince William.

The balcony will also include Princess Anne's husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, who is not a working royal.

Her Majesty's two youngest grandchildren, Lady Louise and James, will also join the royal family for the spectacle - despite not being working royals.

They are the children of Sophie and Edward Wessex, who are working royals and recently represented the crown during a tour of the Caribbean.

It comes as Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and Andrew were snubbed from the Buckingham Palace balcony because they're not "working royals."

Prince Andrew, who won't be on the balcony, was forced to step away from royal life amid his sex assault lawsuit with Virginia Giuffre.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were also left off the list for an appearance on the balcony as they are not working royals.

It means their kids, Archie and Lilibet, will not make an appearance at Buckingham Palace.

There had previously been speculation the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would not even fly back amid their ongoing row over security.

And it was feared they could "hijack or overshadow" the long weekend's events, which take place from June 2 to June 5.

But just minutes after the Palace confirmed they were banned from the balcony, the couple announced they would be attending.

The historic four-day Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday begins at 10am sharp on Thursday, June 2, with the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony in London.

For the last two years the military parade that marks the Queen’s official birthday has been a slimmed-down affair at Windsor Castle.

But to mark the Queen’s remarkable 70-year reign, the parade is back in London with more than 1,500 troops taking part.

A royal gun salute to mark the Jubilee will be fired around the country – and later, Brits will be able to see the royals on their way back to Buckingham Palace.
