Phillies place IF Didi Gregorius on 10-day IL with left knee sprain, call up prospect Bryson Stott

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Alex Coffey, the Philadelphia Phillies have placed infielder Didi Gregorius on the 10-day injured list with a left knee sprain.

The 32-year-old has slashed .288/.338/.356 over 65 plate appearances this season.

In two-plus seasons with Philadelphia, the 11-year veteran has batted .241, with a .315 on-base percentage and .426 slugging percentage. He has 23 home runs and 101 RBI in 181 games with the Phillies.

Gregorius is in the final year of a two-year, $28 million contract signed ahead of the 2021 season.

The Phillies re-called prospect Bryson Stott from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to fill the roster spot. One of the Phillies' top prospects, Stott broke camp with the major league club after spring training before being sent down.

A first-round pick by the Phillies in the 2019 MLB Draft, Stott has played in nine major league games this season, batting .133, with four hits and three RBI in 31 plate appearances.

In nine games with the Phillies' Triple-A affiliate this season, Stott has a .333 batting average, .375 on-base percentage and .611 slugging percentage, tallying two home runs and seven RBI.
