When the tornado sirens sound off Tuesday morning, people throughout Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties are reminded the one minute solid “all-clear” tone is part of a scheduled test.
Testing began in March and will continue through Oct. 11.
With these tests, the county is kept abreast of which sirens may need repairs.
Residents in the county will hear the siren at the following times and locations:
10 a.m. – Burlington
10:05 a.m. – Bethune
10:10 a.m. – Stratton
10:15 a.m. – Vona
10:20 a.m. – Seibert
10:25 a.m. – Flagler
10:30 a.m. – Cheyenne Wells
10:35 a.m. – Kit Carson
Following the initial siren at each location, the all-clear will be sounded
