Lili Reinhart is responding to Kim Kardashian's comments about losing 16 pounds in three weeks to fit into Marilyn Monroe's "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" dress, which she wore to the Met Gala.

Kardashian told Vogue at the event what she did to fit into Monroe's dress. She said, "It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven't had carbs or sugar in about three weeks. We're having pizza and donut party back at the hotel [after the Met Gala]."

Soon after, the Riverdale star pointed out on social media how harmful glorifying crash dieting is and how triggering it can be for people with eating disorders or body dysmorphia. Though she didn't call out Kardashian directly, she didn't need to in order to make her point, as Kardashian's weight loss comments had already gone viral.

"To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are... because you haven't eaten carbs in the last month... all to fit in a fucking dress?" the star wrote on her Instagram Story. "So wrong. So fucked on 100s of levels."

She added, "To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala. When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word. The ignorance is other-worldly and disgusting. Please stop supporting these stupid, harmful celebrities whose entire image revolves around their bodies. I am not generally an angry person but I swear to god, the toxicity of this industry sometimes really gets to me and I have to do my little Instagram-story rants to release my rage."
