Minn-Kota Ag Products has notified North Dakota agencies of a liquid fertilizer spill from an above ground storage tank in Richland County, about one mile west of Colfax.
Initial estimates indicate approximately 11,357 gallons of fertilizer discharged into the surrounding property and a drainage ditch.
It was a progressive leak occurring over the past few months from a small rust hole in the tank.
Minn-Kota first detected the spill on May 3.
