LISTEN: Mark Stoops' interview with Kentucky Sports Radio
Earlier today, Kentucky Sports Radio was excited to be joined by Kentucky Football head coach Mark Stoops for a Thursday morning conversation about his football program. Stoops was kind enough to call in during his busy morning to take questions from Matt Jones about the current state of the team and Stoops’ current thoughts on NIL’s effect on the game.
To the latter, Stoops really went into detail on how he believes recruiting has “totally changed” in the last year since NIL was introduced. He’s all for players being compensated, he said, but worries the pay-for-play has already gotten out of hand.
Stoops also spoke highly of his football team, although he won’t look too far ahead at the schedule. He really likes his quarterback too and believes Will Levis can be the No. 1 pick in next year’s draft.
