(SportsRadio 610) - Astros star second baseman Jose Altuve is back in the lineup just one day after fouling a pitch directly off his groin area.
It's welcomed news for the Astros, who had been without Altuve for 11 games while he dealt with a left hamstring strain. He'd just returned for the three-game home series against the Seattle Mariners, who they swept.
Altuve slashed .250/.455/.625 in the series, including a home run Tuesday. But in the fourth inning of Wednesday's series finale, Altuve fouled a 1-2 sinker from Mariners reliever Wyatt Mills directly off his member.
For the season, Altuve is slashing .182/.308/.318.
