Juanita Chavana Gonzales, 74, of Dilley, died on April 27, 2022. She was born on November 5, 1947 in Dilley to Francisco Chavana Sr. and Santos Benavidez Chavana.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Enedino Ruel Gonzales, siblings Manuel Chavana, Leonor Cantu, Elida Martinez, Gloria Smith, Francisco Chavana Jr., Antonia Jaco, Baby Ma Gloria and Baby Francisco.

Juanita is survived by her daughter Cordelia Chavana Gonzales, son Delmar Chavana Gonzales (Patricia), grandkids Jacob Barrow and Jonah Barrow. She is also survived by her uncle Frank Benavidez of Houston.

Pallbearers included Delmar Gonzales, Cordelia Gonzales, Jonah Barrow, Benito Galindo, Norman Martinez, Desmond Lozano Sr. Honorary Pallbearer was Desmond Lozano Jr.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 1 at Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels in Dilley from 3 to 9 p.m. where a Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass was held on Monday May 2 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Interment followed to the Dilley Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Trevino Royal Oaks Funeral Chapels.
