Columbus natives Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph of Twenty One Pilots to perform on MTV June 9

Fans of Twenty One Pilots won't want to miss "MTV Unplugged in Partnership with Rockstar Energy Drink Present: Twenty One Pilots."

Twenty One Pilots take the stage in Los Angeles to play some of their most beloved songs from their catalog, according to a press statement. The special performance will be shown at 9 p.m. June 9 on MTV.   

A tweet posted by the Grammy Award-winning duo from Columbus — Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph — teased to the performance.

Twenty One Pilots:Fans brave the elements in anticipation of Twenty One Pilots' performance on Friday

In addition, “Twenty One Pilots Cinema Experience” is an extended cut of the duo’s earlier livestreamed concert occasioned by the release of their 2021 record “Scaled and Icy.” The film will feature 20 minutes of new footage not seen as part of the original livestream. 

The film will play on May 19 at numerous area movie theaters, including Easton 30, Polaris 18, Dublin Village 18, Movies 16 Gahanna, the Gateway Film Center and more.

Encore showings will take place at some theaters on May 22.

Twenty One Pilots was in Columbus last fall and performed three shows at Nationwide Arena.
