Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford has announced the arrest of an 18-year-old Spurger resident in relation to a child sex crime.
According to Weatherford, Kaden Essary has been arrested following an investigation that began in March. Weatherford said Essary was charged with Sexual Assault of a Child, and Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Milton Powers set his bond at $100,000.00.
Weatherford noted that Essary confessed to the crime during interviews.
No information about the alleged victim, including their age, was released.
