Mavis and Goldie: Rescue Pets of the Week
Sweet Miss Mavis has been looking for a new home for over two months. The shelter environment stressed her out so much she was moved to the comfort of a foster home to finish out her search. Here’s what her foster mom has to say about her.
Since Mavis has been with us:
- She loves kids and is pretty careful around them.
- She does great with both of my dogs! Finally settling down tonight on the couch together.
- She definitely thinks she's a lap dog (she fell asleep on my chest).
- She did fairly well with my cats, curious and wanted to play, but no prey drive or intentionally hurting them.
- She’s curious about your food if you're not at the table, but when we sat down for dinner she just laid underneath the table.
This 3-year-old spayed hound mix is breaking all the stigmas she acquired in a kennel setting. Seems as though she just needed her own family and couch!
Goldie is worth her weight in…love! This 5-year-old spayed cat is a favorite at Tri-County Humane Society.
Goldie's likes include: squeeze treats, chin scratches, sunning herself, watching children and birds.
Goldie's dislikes: Noisy environments and being picked up.
Goldie qualifies for our Fabulous Five Dollar Feline promotion and her adoption fee would be waived for a senior or veteran.
