Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale star Rosie Bentham has discussed a possible return for Jamie Tate in upcoming scenes on the soap.
While most of the village thinks that Jamie is dead, the character is actually alive, with Rosie's character Gabby Thomas fearing for her and their son Thomas' safety next week as she suspects he may be back to try and kidnap the baby.
Next week will see a hooded figure spotted on the Home Farm CCTV, with Gabby terrified as Dawn tries to reassure her, though Gabby's fears increase when she spots further clues to Jamie's possible return – including a dropped torch.

Rosie explained to Digital Spy and other media: "They find the torch and she's already panicking, she genuinely thinks this is Jamie, and he could lash out at her because she's got everything he wants really, there were a lot of unanswered questions between the two of them, so what's going to happen if he does come up to her, what's she going to have to do?
"So she spots someone and her first reaction is to run as fast as she could, out of those woods. She comes into Home Farm, locks all the doors and she's like, 'Right, what do I do now?'"
Clearly something sinister is happening as the mysterious figure doesn't turn around and say anything, and Gabby later discovers a gift, convinced it is from Jamie.
"It's very obvious that it's from Jamie and that means that Jamie has been in her safe place, which is Home Farm, he's been wandering round and he's closer than ever," Rosie said.
"That tips her over the edge, she's 100% sure, 'Jamie is here, he's been in the house, he's coming for me, now what do I do?'"

The actress admitted that she is "really excited" for the events of the week, with someone getting hold of a gun and someone being shot.
"It's something so different to what I've done before, I'm getting a lot of scenes on my own, where they're increasing the fear and paranoia, and it's really going to have the audience knowing that something's definitely going to happen, it just goes up and up and up," she teased. "There's a lot of stuff that I've never done before and it was really exciting to shoot."

Asked how Gabby would react if Jamie did return, Rosie noted that "she's terrified of him", and has a lot of questions she wants answers to.
"But Jamie coming back would kick off a lot of drama, there could be a custody battle for Thomas, if he comes back he'll want one thing only and that's Home Farm, so is Kim in danger – he's obviously poisoned Kim before – and that could bring back Gabby's nasty side, because it's a fight or flight mode where she's like, 'I'm protecting me, my son, my status here and I'm not going to back down if he comes back.'
"She wants the status at Home Farm and like we see in this week, she will go to any length to find out anything about Jamie and get rid of him," the actress added.
As for whether she herself would like to see Jamie back, Rosie said: "It's been left as a little 'What's going to happen?' And I think it'll be really good.
"I'd love to see Alex [Lincoln] back, he was good fun and it would be a lot of drama, which would be good. And he hasn't even met the baby yet, so he needs to come back and be a dad."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
