Bridge at risk of collapse in Muskogee County due to severe flooding

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Many roads in Muskogee County have turned into rivers as rain continues to fall and at least one bridge is at risk of collapse.

The Muskogee County Emergency Management Director put out an alert to people living in the area of 40th and Okmulgee Street to stay off the roads due to flooding.
The sheriff's office is also warning people to stay away from Smith Ferry Road at 45th and 55th to through traffic. The area is blocked because the bridge is at risk of collapse.
First responders have been attending to water rescues and warning people to turn around.
Some hospitals are reporting ambulances can't get to their hospitals or to patients.
