The New York Knicks are a team that will be looking to make some moves this offseason. They had a disappointing 2021-22 NBA season which has scaled their expectations back after earning the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference during the 2020-21 campaign.

New York attempted to accelerate their timeline, signing a few veterans during the 2021 offseason to try. A majority of those signings backfired, as the team took a step back on the court. One of those signings that didn’t pan out was Kemba Walker.

There was a lot of excitement about Walker coming to the Knicks, as the Bronx native was coming home. That excitement quickly wore off as it became evident that Walker was no longer capable of being a starting point guard in the NBA.

He started 37 games for the Knicks but was removed from the rotation two separate times, the last of which resulted in him staying home for the duration of the season. It was a disappointing end to what started with so much intrigue and positivity.
