Heather Dubrow is setting the record straight. The Real Housewives of Orange County star has been married to Dr. Terry Dubrow for 23 years and counting. And while marriage has its ups and downs, one thing Heather won’t tolerate is cheating. So Heather is now hitting back after Kelly Dodd claimed that Terry was cheating on social media.
As reported by Reality Blurb, the debacle started when they shared a photo of Heather and castmate Shannon Beador on their Instagram account. The caption teased a moment at the reunion between the two where Heather revealed that she knew about David Beador cheating on Shannon for years. Kelly, who refuses to just mind her own business, jumped in the comments with an accusation about Terry. Kelly’s comment read, “Don’t throw stones at glass houses HD! EVERYONE IN NEWPORT BEACH KNOWS TERRY WAS BANGING HIS OFFICE ASSISTANT!! (Allegedly). Don’t want to get sued a 3rd time!! It’s common knowledge here ask anyone! HYPOCRITE.”
Heather took to her podcast, Heather Dubrow’s World, to refute the claims. She stated, “There’s a rumor online right now that Terry was like banging his assistant for years. It’s not true. I’m not going to give it any weight or any life because it’s stupid. But, the point is this: For me, cheating is like the one, it was my one hard no.”
Heather shared that she’s been clear on that from the very beginning of their relationship. She told him when they first started dating, “I was like, ‘No matter what happens in our lives, just know, I can’t recover from that.'” Heather added, “I can handle messing up and doing stupid things, but when, I’ve had a handful of incidences in my life where a couple people have been so incredibly disloyal that. And it’s not many but it’s a couple and it just, I will never get over it.”
I don’t doubt Heather’s claim that she wouldn’t tolerate cheating. And the couple has certainly weathered the storms of a long relationship. Some of which played out in Heather’s past seasons on the show. But the couple, who share four children, seem to be rock solid these days. They recently landed their own spin-off, which features them giving marriage advice to struggling couples. Heather states in the trailer, “Terry and I have been together for 25 years. Over that period of time, we’ve had to face our own marital struggles. And we’ve seen plenty of people get divorced. We’ve always felt like we can help some other couples overcome the same challenges we’ve faced.”
