Area students receive scholarships from Midwest Electric

Midwest Electric Cooperative Corporation along with its power suppliers, Basin Electric Power Cooperative and Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. are proud to announce this year’s scholarship winners.
Hayden Foster will receive a $500 scholarship from Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. He is the son of Tom and Valerie Foster of Grant. Hayden will graduate from Perkins County High School and plans to pursue a degree in electrical technology.
Meghan Bishop will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Basin Electric Power Cooperative. She is the daughter of Jayson and Deanne Bishop of Grant. Meghan will graduate from Perkins County High School and attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and pursue a degree in athletic training.
Andrew Matson will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Basin Electric Power Cooperative. He is the son of Joni Kennicutt of Wallace. Andrew will graduate from Wallace High School and attend the University of Nebraska at Kearney and will pursue a degree in computer science.
Sierra Hicks will receive a $500 scholarship from Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. She is the daughter of John and Kori Hicks of Paxton. Sierra will graduate from Paxton High School and plans to attend Chadron State College and pursue a degree in dentistry.
Max Doherty will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Midwest Electric Cooperative Corp. He is the son of Matt and Nichole Doherty of Ogallala. Max will graduate from Ogallala High School and attend Northeast Community College and enroll in the utility line program.
Caden Holm will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Midwest Electric Cooperative Corp. He is the son of Cory and Tori Holm of Paxton. Caden will graduate from Paxton High School and attend Northeast Community College and enroll in the utility line program.
