Art student creates logo for tree board

The Grant Tree Board turned to the art classes at Perkins County High School for help with its promotion in the form of a newly created logo.
Students were approached by tree board president Jon Forney and asked to submit samples to the tree board for consideration.
Students had studied logo design earlier in the year with art instructor Tristan Stephenson, who gave students free reign with the tree board project with some prompts for a direction by Forney.
The chosen logo was designed by junior art student Cheyenne Flower, who is enrolled in computer art and art 4 this semester.
The logo development is part of a strategic plan by the tree board for outreach in the community and will be used on correspondence, press releases and possibly t-shirts, according to Forney.
