The very first laptop I ever used was one my father had, and it was at least three (or more!) inches thick. At the time, it still felt like the peak of technological achievement. Fast forward to today, and Lenovo has unleashed a slew of new ultra-slim laptops that take sleek, futuristic design and jaw-dropping performance to a whole new level!

The Lenovo Slim 9i 14

All of Lenovo’s “Slim” line of laptops are designed for the idea that we live in a hybrid world. Work isn’t just a single location anymore, and so your laptop needs to be able to travel wherever you want to declare your office that day.

These slim laptops are designed with Lenovo’s comfort edge design to make them comfortable to carry and use; they are also equipped with PureSight displays and Lenovo AI Engine+. This means you get an Eyesafe-certified display and enough power and intelligence under the hood to keep things running smoothly and safely.

Lenovo also offers advanced support with Premium Care Plus as an option, and/or you can use the Lenovo C02 offset program to help reduce the carbon footprint of your new laptop.

Lenovo is also rolling out their Lenovo Smart Lock Services. It’s cloud-based security software that allows users to track the location of their device, remotely lock/wipe/delete, and generally, give you the peace of mind that misplacing your laptop doesn’t mean you can’t protect your data.

Lenovo Smart Lock Services are expected to be available in North American markets in June 2022, with further global expansion in September 2022.

Lenovo Slim 9i

If looks and eco-consciousness are what’s most important to you, take a look at the Lenovo Slim 9i. You get a 14″ display available in up to 4K with a touchscreen, Intel Evo 12th Gen Core processors, and four speakers powered by Bowers and Wilkins.

Style-wise, the design uses 3D glass, a comfort-edge design, and comes in at a positively svelte 0.59″ thick! Even more exciting: it’s a carbon-neutral-certified laptop as certified by TÜV Rheinland.

Look for it this June, starting at $1,799.

Lenovo Slim 7 Pro X Series

For power on the go, take a look at the Slim i7 Pro X and Slim 7 Pro X with next-gen Intel or AMD processors. The Slim i7 Pro X series comes with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with NVIDIA Studio validation.

In addition, there’s Lenovo’s X Power, which allows the user to tweak the power settings for the CPU and GPU for different scenarios.

Visually, there’s a 14.5″ PureSight display with an optional touchscreen, plus TÜV Hardware Blue Light certification to protect your eyes. All of this comes in a package weighing in at less than 3.5 pounds!

Slim i7 Pro X will start at $1,699, while Slim 7 Pro X will start at $1,499; both will be available in June.

Meanwhile, the Slim Pro 7 (starting at $1,499 for a 16″ screen) and Slim Pro 7i (starting at $1,199 for 14″/$1,599 for 16″) are also being refreshed with new colors, Storm Grey and Cloud Grey.

Lenovo Slim 7i Carbon

Portability is king with the Lenovo Slim 7i Carbon. It sports a 13″ screen, an aerospace-grade magnesium alloy with multi-layer carbon fiber chassis that’s 0.58″ at its thinnest point, and it weighs in at 2.2 pounds.

Power-wise, The Slim 7i Carbon sports an Intel Evo 12th Gen Core processor and a self-adjusting fan that keeps things cool. There’s an edge-to-edge keyboard and a larger trackpad than its predecessors, so the thin and light nature doesn’t mean you give up on productivity!

Look for it this June, starting at $1,299.

Keep and eye out for the new Lenovo Slim laptops here.

These two additional Yoga devices might interest you if you’re outside the USA.

First, there’s the Yoga 7, a 2-in-1 laptop with an optional Active Pen. It sports Dolby Atmos speakers, AMD Ryzen processors, and up to 2.8k OLED screens with Dolby Vision.

Meanwhile, on the desktop front, there’s the Yoga AIO 7, which offers a 27″ 4K touchscreen that can rotate 90º and be tilted for other viewing angles. The idea is that the Yoga AIO 7  can function as the nerve center of a home, powered by an AMD Ryzen 6000 series processor and dual JBL speakers.

With a smaller footprint than prior iterations, it’s all about that beautiful screen! Pricing and availability for both are TBD.
