U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg visits Euclid to highlight President Biden's infrastructure bill with Rep. Shontel Brown

The two hosted a 'fireside chat' with community leaders and students to discuss the future of transportation and the infrastructure bill.

EUCLID, Ohio — Northeast Ohio received a visit from U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Thursday as he made a stop in Euclid.

Buttigieg joined Rep. Shontel Brown “to highlight President Biden’s historic bipartisan infrastructure law and how it is making once-in-a-generation investments in our infrastructure that will create jobs, fix our roads and bridges, reduce emissions and better connect our communities.”

Buttigieg and Brown visited the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority training and development job hub at Cuyahoga County Community College in Euclid. Both took a tour of the facility to see classrooms with transit technology, try out a driver simulator, view a CDL testing yard and warehouse and observe a truck repair lab.

After their tour wrapped, Buttigieg and Brown hosted a “fireside chat” with community leaders, students and school staff to discuss the future of transportation and how the infrastructure law “will create good-paying union jobs and spur innovation.”
