Princeton 7, Oak Hill 5
Oak Hill – Abigail Jenkins hit two home runs and drove in three runs total as Princeton scored two runs in the seventh to send the game to extra innings before scoring two more In the eighth to beat Oak Hill 7-5 Wednesday in Oak Hill.
The Tigers pounded out 14 hits in the win with Hayden Jones’ four leading the way.
The loss ends Oak Hill’s season while Princeton will travel back to Beckley on Thursday needing a win to keep its season alive.
James Monroe 9, River View 1
Lindside – Bryleigh Thomas and Kaydence Weikle collected two hits each as James Monroe scored nine runs in the second inning to soundly defeat River View 9-1 Wednesday in Lindside.
Haley Hunnicutt drove in two runs for the Mavs while Shailyn Wickline scored batted in three.
James Monroe advances to the the sectional championship with the win.
River View falls into the loser’s bracket and will play the winner of Wednesday’s Montcalm-Mount View game on Thursday.
Bluefield 16, Westside 2
Bluefield – Bluefield defeated Westside 16-2 Wednesday night in Bluefield.
The loss brings an end to the Renegades’ season while Bluefield will make the trip to Wyoming East on Thursday needing to win two games in order to win the sectional championship.
A loss ends the Beavers’ season.
