Vanderbilt men's basketball promoted general manager Andy Fox to associate head coach Tuesday, the program announced in a release.

Fox was previously the director of scouting and recruiting before serving as the GM in 2021-22.

Fox replaces Ed Conroy, who left to become the coach at The Citadel.

Fox worked at Louisiana Tech, Tulane and The Citadel and worked as a graduate assistant at Tennessee.

Additionally, Adam Mazarei, who has been an assistant coach since the beginning of Jerry Stackhouse's tenure, was promoted to associate head coach. That gives Vanderbilt three associate head coaches: Fox, Mazarei and Michael Curry.

The Commodores made a run to the quarterfinals of the NIT in 2022, finishing with their first winning season since 2016-17. But they will have to reload for 2022-23 after losing first-team All-SEC point guard Scotty Pippen Jr. to the NBA Draft.
