PCED hosts annual meeting

You’re visiting from out of town, and you drive into Phillips County for a long weekend trip. You want to know what there is to do here and where to stay, eat and explore the area. Phillips County Economic Development has a strategic plan.

At the PCED annual meeting April 27 at the Paoli Town Hall, Trisha Herman, PCED executive director, outlined areas PCED is focusing its 2022 plans and efforts and highlighted a few successes in 2021.

In addition, Summer Maloney and Kyle Stumpf from Holyoke School District gave an in-depth presentation on a very successful Holyoke School District initiative and program engagement in collaboration with other state school districts on fostering positive opportunities with homegrown talent.

Twelve local area students were recognized and received PCED 2022 scholarships: Rene Rosales, Diego Jimenez, Cade Killin, Emmanuel Vasquez, Cierra Duck, Nevaeh Dick, Azariah Calderon, Mason Vernon, Addison Oliver, Jimena Nuñez, Hannah Lindholm and Fatima Nuñez.
