If you have a surname many people struggle to pronounce, it’s an instructive idea to name your website after its correct pronunciation. That’s exactly what Swedish inventor and popular YouTuber Simone Giertz has done with the YETCH Store, her first-ever online storefront.
Having spent many years coming up with tech-savvy and forward-thinking solutions to everyday problems, Giertz decided it was time to make a one-stop home for her innovative creations.
It’s the next logical step for a creator who learned to consider the importance of the future after battling a perspective-altering brain tumour four years ago. Realising the slippery nature of sustaining a career on the internet, she resolved to find a lasting impact beyond the world of YouTube.
The once slapstick comedic creator concentrated more on search, development, and testing in order to create a space where her inventions could live and thrive. Thanks to the YETCH Store, fans can now acquire the exciting products they’ve watched Giertz build on YouTube.
The store’s first four products are now available and, as the website puts it, the “items you didn’t know you didn’t want.” There’s the Every Day Goal Calendar ($365): what seems like an ordinary, run-of-the-mill calendar comes with individual LED lights that help keep you on track with your healthy habits.

Simply tap the days that you reach your goal, and watch them light up as you build your streak. If all goes well, your bedroom wall should resemble the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.
For something sillier, try the Incomplete White Puzzle ($35), which consists of 499 pieces out of a 500-piece puzzle. As the product description puts it, “as soon as a piece goes missing, a puzzle loses all its value. This puzzle is intentionally incomplete, and therefore sold at full price. We did this because we thought it would be funny.”
The other two current products are a handy screwdriver ring and screw ring, both going for $85. More and more products are expected to arrive in the coming months, however, so make sure to keep an eye on the YETCH Store.
