Demi Lovato continues to add to their collection of meaningful ink. In a now-expired post shared on Instagram Stories on May 2, Demi unveiled their new set of tattoos, completed by celebrity tattoo artist Dr. Woo.

The latest addition to their already expansive ink collection, Demi has gotten the words “love” and “fear” tattooed just under either of their collarbones. Sharing a black-and-white image of the work on their Instagram, Demi tagged the artist and captioned the photo with the word “duality.”

The new tattoos come just weeks after Demi debuted a new arm tattoo done in tribute to the people of Ukraine. They got the words “choose love” inked on their left arm. That tattoo was also unveiled shortly after Demi had also revealed a spider tattoo on their head and a large hand tattoo.

There's no word on what inspired Demi's choice of shoulder tats, but as People noted, the reveal also comes as Demi updated their Instagram pronouns. Nearly a year ago, Demi came out as non-binary and shared their preference for using they/them pronouns going forward. Her Instagram now includes the addition of she/her as preferred pronouns.

Demi has previously spoken about being in a continuing gender journey. They had also shared that her pronouns and gender identity could shift. “There might be a time where I identify as trans,” they said on 4D With Demi Lovato. “I don't know what this looks like for me. There might be a time where I identify as non-binary and gender nonconforming my entire life. Or maybe there's a period of time when I get older that I identify as a woman."

“I don't know what that looks like, but for me, in this moment right now, this is how I identify,” Demi added. "And I have a feeling that it's not going to ever go back to one way or the other, but I just, it's about keeping it open and free and just I'm a very fluid person, and so that goes with how I express myself as well."
