CC)—The Enid Mayor and Board of Commissioners will meet this evening. During the regular meeting, the commission is expected to consider the sale of the Great Plains Bank building in the 400 block of West Broadway, which the city has owned since December 2020. In other business, commissioners are scheduled to make appointments to a couple of citizen advisory boards, address a number of business items, and meet in executive session to discuss recent policy changes at the Public Library of Enid and Garfield County.  Prior to the regular meeting, the commission will meet in study session and discuss the proposed 2022-23 City of Enid budget, and revisions to building permit fees. The study session will begin at 5:00 p.m, with the regular meeting following at 6:30. Both meetings will be held in Council Chambers and are open to the public.

BC)--The trial for a man charged in connection to the 2020 death of an Enid man is underway in Garfield County District Court. 28 year-old Dorhee Ventura Wofford is facing charges of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault while masked in connection with the death of Nestor Garcia Ramirez. According to Enid News and Eagle, the jury of 12, with two alternates were selected Monday. Two others have been charged in connection to Ramirez’s death. 19 year-old Nevaeh Emelro Don Hill, 19, is facing the same charges as Wofford, and 27-year-old Courtney Renee Flowers was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon and child neglect. They are charged with the invasion robbery and fatal shooting of Ramirez at a residence in the 1900 block of East Walnut in August of 2020. Wofford’s trial is expected to take 3 to 5 days. Flowers’ next appearance in court is scheduled for June 14, and Hill has a bond appearance on May 11 and a jury trial scheduled June 6.

DE)--Murali Katta-Muddanna has been named Director of Engineering Services for the City of Enid. Since 2005, Murali has served as project engineer, project engineer, and worked on a wide variety of projects related to sanitary sewer, storm water, trails, water, and transportation.
