Dodgers: Miguel Cabrera’s Gift For Brusdar Graterol

The Dodgers got the chance to see what should be their only look at Miguel Cabrera this weekend. The Tigers came into town, and it’s the only time the two teams will meet up, barring a miracle World Series matchup.

But this series also allowed for a very special moment for two Venezuelan players. Dodgers reliever Brusdar Graterol met on the field with Miguel Cabrera before the game on Saturday, and Miggy came with a gift. He gave Brusdar a signed jersey that also featured the 3000 hit club and 500 homerun club inscribed on it.

It was a pretty cool moment for a guy that grew up idolizing Miggy. The Dodgers reliever also got the chance to pitch against his over the weekend as well, but he issued the walk with two outs in the 7th inning. Los Angeles would go on to lose that game as the offense went quiet.

Other Dodgers News

Mookie Betts has just about had it with Dodgers fans and their vegan jokes. He spoke with Bill Plunkett this week and revealed that he is not eating vegan. That was part of his diet that he went through last year, but now it’s all about just trying to eat as healthy as he can.

Dodgers’ third baseman Justin Turner took to Instagram to congratulate Clayton Kershaw on becoming the franchise’s strikeout king. But he couldn’t do it without taking a funny jab at ESPN for their nickname choice for Kersh.
