Please join us in welcoming Evan Hofer to the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as Dex! “So excited for Dex’s journey to begin,” the actor declared on Instagram when news of his casting broke. And he also enjoyed reading all the comments from fans speculating about his character and possible storylines. “Loving the hot takes,” he added. “Keep ‘em comin’!”

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, they’re reporting that Hofer will make his daytime debut in the Friday, May 6, episode of GH when Dex tries to get a job working for Sonny Corinthos. Now, whether Dex is legitimately looking for a job or if he’s working for one of the rival crime families and trying to be a man on the inside, viewers will just have to wait and see!

And while fans will have to wait a bit to see Hofer on-screen, GH star Maurice Benard (Sonny) started working with him weeks ago, and promises it’s something to look forward to. “This guy is on the money,” the Emmy winner tweeted about his new co-star.

Hofer got his big break in the Disney series KICKIN’ IT and has also appeared on shows like MODERN FAMILY, SWEDISH DICKS, THE THUNDERMANS, LETHAL WEAPON, and DWIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR. The young actor can also be seen in the films 1 Night, Run the Race, and the upcoming Roll With It.

So make sure you keep watching GH to see Hofer make his debut in Port Charles and see what Dex is really up to with Sonny! With Jason gone, he could use a new right-hand man, but should he trust a newbie who might be working for the other side? This is gonna be good!
