Nick Lachey Says His Kids Finally Think He’s “Cool” Thanks to ‘The Masked Singer’

Couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey recently stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk with guest host Stephen “tWitch” Boss. During the interview, Vanessa revealed that she was a bigger fan of NSYNC than Nick’s group 98 Degrees.
Vanessa Lachey Wasn’t a Fan of Nick Lachey’s Group 98 Degrees
Vanessa admitted that she “was not a 98 Degrees fan.” However, she clarified to Nick that it was “not because I didn’t love your music.” She said she was an NSYNC fan at the time, and the show even put up a photo of her with the group after she won Miss Teen USA in 1998.
It turns out that even Nick’s own kids aren’t 98 Degrees fans. He shared that the couple’s children will ask him to stop singing around the house. As Vanessa said, he responds by telling them, “My singing put a roof over our heads.”
Nick shared that his kids were finally interested in his career when he appeared on The Masked Singer as Piglet and won the show. He joked, “It took dressing up like a pig and singing on national television to be cool to my kids. So whatever it takes.”

The Couple Hosts Netflix Series ‘The Ultimatum’ Together
Vanessa joked that she and Nick have “become like the relationship host couple.” They hosted the Netflix reality series Love Is Blind, and now they’re hosting a new relationship-focused show called The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On.
As Vanessa explained, the show allows couples to “challenge themselves in their relationships.” The show gives the couples an opportunity to date other people. Nick said that the people who participated were glad they did.
Nick and Vanessa were married in 2011, and they have three kids together — Phoenix, Camden, and Brooklyn. You can watch them host both Love Is Blind and The Ultimatum on Netflix.
