Cheyenne Mountain Zoo once again in the running for ‘Best Zoo in North America’
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is once again in the running for "Best Zoo in North America" in USAToday's 10Best Readers' Choice awards.
This isn't the first time the CMZoo competed in the awards. In 2020 and 2021, zoo officials say the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo placed 4th best Association of Zoos and Aquariums-accredited zoo in North America.
Also, the zoo's Rocky Mountain Wild exhibit is in the running for "Best Exhibit in North America." According to CMZoo, that exhibit was voted #3 Best Zoo Exhibit in 2021.
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is currently in 5th place for the "Best Zoo" category and 1st place for "Best Exhibit."
The community is encouraged to show the zoo's support by voting.
People can vote once a day, every day, through 10 a.m. on Monday, May 23.
