Everyone Jemima Kirke Has Dated Through the Years

Jemima Kirke is best known for her role as the eccentric, unapologetic Jessa Johansson in HBO's acclaimed comedy-drama series "Girls." Outside of "Girls," Kirke also has acting credits in Netflix's "Sex Education" and will star in Hulu's upcoming series "Conversations With Friends," based on the 2017 novel of the same name by Sally Rooney.

When she is not acting, Kirke usually pursues alternative artistic projects, which she often documents on Instagram, and keeps her personal life private. In contrast to her free-loving characters on screen, the actress has only had two public romances over the years. Here are all the people Kirke has dated since her rise to fame.

Jemima Kirke and Michael Mosberg (2009-2016)

In a 2012 interview with Vice, Kirke said she met Michael Mosberg, a former lawyer, at a doctor's office when she had bronchitis. "I don't remember what he was there for, but I liked him and gave him my number. We've been together for four years and married for three of them," she said at the time. Years later, Kirke revealed in a 2016 interview with The Telegraph that she met Mosberg while in rehab when she was 23, but did not wish to discuss it before that point.

Regardless of how the two met, Kirke and Mosberg connected right away, and the two married in 2009, a year after they initially met. On being married at 24 years-old, Kirke told the Purple Magazine in 2012, "I finally wanted the experience of being happy, so I went off my blueprint, fell in love with a lawyer from Long Island, and then had a baby." Together, the couple share two children: Rafaella Israel (born 2010) and Memphis (born 2012).

The two remained together until their split in 2017 after seven years of marriage. Among many factors, Kirke revealed that communication and her acting career put a strain on their marriage. The actress told W Magazine in 2017, "I wish the conversation we had had gone, 'Yeah, I'm struggling in the marriage right now,' but I think it wasn't something we were able to face because again, the societal consensus is that everything has to be either good or bad, or right and wrong. But it's wrong to be married and be unhappy and stay." She also explained to The Evening Standard that acting forced her to look into her own life and find what she truly wanted.

Jemima Kirke and Alex Cameron (2017 - Present)

Kirke met Australian singer-songwriter Alex Cameron in 2017 when Cameron was producing his album, "Forced Witness." The singer told The Fader, "She'd heard a song of mine and reached out because she wanted to make a music video for Stranger's Kiss.'" After their artistic collaboration on Cameron's music video (which Kirke directed), he told the outlet that the pair spent more time together and developed feelings outside of their professional relationship. Shortly after the two started dating, Cameron moved in with Kirke and her children in New York City, according to The Guardian.

After nearly five years of dating, the pair are still going strong and continue to work together, with Kirke directing the music video for Cameron's song "Best Life" off of his March 2022 album, "Oxy Music." Discussing their relationship, the singer revealed to Range in March 2022, "[Jemima's] whip-smart, incredibly intelligent, and her taste is just the finest and best in the world. Anyone I've ever come across has never even come close to Jemima in terms of her ideas. She's just amazing."
