Mega Latios and Mega Latias will soon be making their Pokemon GO debut, an exciting moment that will be celebrated by the Air Adventures event. It is only fitting then that they will be the first Pokemon featured in May's Raid Hours, an event that occurs every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time. They won't be the only Pokemon featured in this month's Raid Hours, though, and this article will detail what other Pokemon you can expect to see during the Raid Hour, and when they will occur.

Pokemon GO Raid Hours: May 2022

Season of Alola continues into May, so a lot of the Pokemon that will be featured in Raid Hours will be familiar to fans of Gen VII. The Pokemon featured, and the day they will be appearing in the Raid Hour, are as follows:

  • May 4: Mega Latias and Mega Latios.
  • May 11: Tapu Fini
  • May 18: Tapu Fini
  • May 25: Tapu Fini, Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Bulu.

To avoid any confusion: yes, Tapu Fini will be appearing in three out of the four Raid Hours, being the only Pokemon appearing on May 11 and May 18. However, players will have a chance to encounter all of the Tapu Pokemon on the May 25 Raid Hour.

Mega Latios and Mega Latias will also have a chance to be shiny during their Raid Hour on May 4. However, none of the Tapus will have a chance to be shiny. If you want to know what other Pokemon will have an increased chance to be shiny this month, be sure to check out the May content update post.

Latias and Latios are dragon/psychic legendary Pokemon that first appeared back in Gen III. Known as the Eon Duo, they received the ability to Mega Evolve in Gen VI.

The Tapus are all legendary Pokemon that debuted in Gen VII, each one being a guardian of a particular island in the Alola region. Tapu Fini is the water/fairy type guardian of Poni Island; Tapu Koko is the electric/fairy type guardian of Melemele Island; Tapu Lele is the psychic/fairy type guardian of Akala Island; Tapu Bulu is the grass/fairy type guardian of Ula'ula Island.
