Numbah One was impressed.

Former WFAN host Mike Francesa liked what he saw over the weekend from the New York Jets in the 2022 NFL Draft.

On Thursday, Francesa watched Joe Douglas pick cornerback Sauce Gardner at No. 4 overall. That earned the Jets compliment No. 1 from Francesa on Twitter: “I thought Gardner was the best player in the draft.”

Douglas would later add Ohio State wide receiver Garrett Wilson at No. 10 overall and traded back into the first round at No. 26 to select Florida State defensive end Jermaine Johnson.

On Friday, the Jets landed running back Breece Hall in the second round. Hall was arguably the best running back on the board and the first one selected in the draft. And once again Francesa, praised the Jets on Twitter: “The Jets roll continues.”

Of course, Francesa also had plenty to tweet about the three-day draft overall, and he sounded less than impressed with the coverage by ESPN and NFL Network: “The NFL draft is a freak show. Just pick the players. Lose all the nonsense. ... The draft has become the Gong Show.”

As for the Jets, here’s their complete 2022 draft class:

Round 1: No. 4 – Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

Round 1: No. 10 (from SEA) – Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

Round 1: No. 26 (from TEN) – Jermaine Johnson II, DE, Florida State

Round 2: No. 36 (from NYG) – Breece Hall, RB, Iowa State

Round 4: No. 111 (from CAR) – Max Mitchell, OT, Louisiana

Round 4: No. 117 (from MIN) – Michael Clemons, DE, Texas A&M
