Webster Area's Drew Reetz recorded four first-places and helped the Bearcats win the boys division title in the Webster Area Invitational track and field meet. Reetz headlines the Public Opinion's list of top area performers for the week of April 26-May 1.

The weather didn’t do area high school athletes any favors over the weekend, but there was enough of break early in the week to produce some competition.

There were a handful of area track meets, golf tournaments and tennis duals last week — enough to compile the Public Opinion’s list of top area high school performers for the week of April 25-May 1.

Leading the list of top performers this week is Webster Area’s Drew Reetz.

Reetz recorded first-place finishes Friday to help lead the Bearcats to the boys division title in the Webster Area Invitational track and field meet.

Reetz won the boys’ 200-meter dash and pole vault and also ran on the Bearcats’ winning medley and 1,600-meter relays.
