A 55-year-old Jerome woman died Saturday night after getting into a car crash near Jerome.

Idaho State Police say the crash happened at around 6:50 p.m. at the intersection of 300 W and 100 S, in Jerome County, West of Jerome.

The Jerome woman was driving east on 100 S and a 19-year-old Jerome man was traveling south on 300 W.

Police say the Jerome woman failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was hit by the Jerome man.

The Jerome woman died from her injuries at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
