Broberg was promoted from AHL Bakersfield on Sunday.
Broberg made his first NHL appearance in over a month against the Sharks on Thursday and pocketed his first career goal. The 20-year-old will likely be the first defenseman to fill in if Edmonton is dealing with any injuries during the postseason.
