A spring to celebrate with art

Emerging from hibernation has never been more eagerly awaited than it has this spring. And the Hopewell Valley Arts Council has plenty of art to help locals celebrate “art in the everyday!”

Kids to Park Day, Saturday, May 14, 12-2pm at Woolsey Park, Hopewell Township:Families are invited for some fresh air and “good ol’ fashioned” fun, in partnership with Hopewell Township Recreation. HV Arts Council will be hosting a fun creative craft project for children ages 5 through 12.

Pennington Day, Saturday, May 21, 10am-4pm at Howe Commons, Pennington Borough:Rain or shine, we’ll be anchoring Pennington Day with an artful takeover on the Howe Commons lawn. Positioned next to one of the music stages and our animal friends, EASEL, the HV Arts Council will have a few creative surprises as well as information about upcoming events.

Hopewell Heritage Week, Sunday, May 22, TBD: For this week-long celebration, the HV Arts Council is partnering with the Pennington Public Library for a colonial-times themed workshop for older children about book-binding techniques and cover decoration.
