you can play immediately. You have differed commitment right? What was today like for you? Uh *** little bit surreal I guess coming from the Air Force Academy. Just *** little bit tough I guess *** little bit tougher. So hearing all different things and when I might go possibly going free agent. Um Maybe going to mid rounds. It was kind of just *** long day, *** little stressful not knowing when or where I would go. And I got that phone call actually when I got the phone call I didn't even think it was real. At first I kinda thought it was gonna be *** joke. I told all my family and friends like it's it's like no it's not it's not the real thing, it's not the real thing. And as I started talking more like wait this is actually the real thing. So it's *** crazy day. I feel blessed. I'm just so happy. It's surreal. Who was on the other lot other end of the line that convinced you it was real. Ah Well it was the assistant gm and I guess I don't know. At first I was kind of like this doesn't sound it just doesn't sound right. I was like I don't know about this one. And then he was like uh we got three minutes left on the clock and I like looked up at the tv and was like oh wait this is actually real. So it's yeah I'm just so happy right now. I can't believe it. George. I was reading it. You were one of the first servicemen that was actually invited to the combine the first one in five years. What was that kind of like for you and experience there? It was it was great. Unfortunately I pulled my hamstring the week before we went. I wasn't able to participate in the field at the field events which uh I was kind of bummed about but it was *** great experience. Um Getting invited was surreal. I got that invitation. I was at the N. F. L. P. ***. Bowl. That was surreal. And then being able to go there and meet some of the different dudes from around the country, from all the different teams and just talk to them. Uh see how, see how they work, see how they went about their business. Um It was cool, it was awesome thing to be invited to. It's going good now. I'm sorry I didn't hear you. Oh yeah yeah we're all good now joe. Can, can you just describe player you are the the game you play? Uh Hi motor guy always ready to work uh down and down out always. They're reliable, fast athletic. Just somebody who's always there ready to play. And do you see yourself more as *** D. T. Or D. N. And going forward? Um I guess I'm not really sure I can play both at Air Force. I was able to play all the positions so I guess I'm not really sure they want me inside or outside but wherever they need me, I'm ready to go George. You missed the 2020 season. How difficult was that for you? And I guess how easy *** transition was to get back into it. It was *** little tough, never missing *** game from high school and then unfortunately getting injured before that season needed to get surgery and taking that semester off. It was kind of tough. That was the covid year, so we didn't know if we were gonna have *** season. Um So when they ended up having *** season watching some of those guys who was supposed to graduate with finished out that season play those games *** little bit tough. But uh I knew I was gonna have another season to come back and work, come back and be *** better version of what I was the year before that. So it was tough at first, but it was something I was able to uh just kind of grow with, understand then come back and ready to work coming out of high school. Um What was the decision for you to go to the Air Force? Uh It was kind of uh down the road decision for me for thinking just at some point in life, football ends uh and what you're gonna have when it's all said and done. So that's kind of why I went with the Air Force Academy, great education and then push them to shove his job. They're ready for you to serve our country. Thank you. Thank you guys so much.
