Iowa Heartland History Connection celebrates grand opening

OTTUMWA, Iowa —
The Iowa Heartland History Connection, formerly known as the Wapello County Historical Society, is now open to the public.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the grand opening of the museum, Saturday.
Board members have been working for the past couple of years, to provide the community with a place for them to learn and see Southeast Iowa's rich history.
IHHC director Erin Kraus told KTVO, they are now looking forward to what the future will bring.
We have truly transformed this building from an empty office to the fantastic exhibits on display. It is really only the beginning," said Kraus. "We have so many more ideas and amazing things to share with the community.
